Frequently Asked Questions

  • The skin is your largest organ and is responsible for protecting your skin internally and externally as well as synthesizing Vitamin D. If the surface is too dehydrated, exfoliated or dry, moisture will not be able to reach the pores which means dirt will be trapped and they will be clogged. This is how blackheads and dehydration start.

  • Facials not only deep clean the skin, they are meant to be able to extract dirt from both the surace and deeper into the pores. Steam is used with an exfoliator to open up the pores while the exfoliator loosens the dead skin in the pores making it easier to extract dead material while being gentle on the skin. Facial massage is used to stimulate and work the muscles and circulate the blood to improve the shape and texture of the skin.

With machines like Hydrafacial, serums are used to work the machine into the skin with a vacuum like attachment and while they may get surface dirt, the material deeper in the pores won’t be extracted and may in fact, push dead skin deeper into the pores. These machines are great for clients who do regular facials so their is minimal dirt in the pores.

  • I have been working with the skin for twenty-five years and there is nothing that I haven’t seen so I want people to feel comfortable when they come in. I don’t judge what you have been doing or what you are currently using because my goal is to have you want to trust what I say. I am honest and will help you feel like you have good direction. I also love to let you see that there is an answer for what you are dealing with.
